Tested this for both data blocking and power throughput. Product works as described.Pros:+ Simple plug and play+ Blocks USB data (see testing below)+ Allows power to flow (see testing below)+ Handy rubber connectors so you can connect to your cablesCons:None really.Data blocking tested by connecting to several items (microphone, thumb drive, M.2 enclosure) to my laptop with this installed and not installed. Unsurprisingly, each item was recognized when this item was not installed; however, when this item was installed in the data path to the laptop, the laptop would report that it could not recognize any of the same items.Power throughput tested by charging both an iPad (max draw ~30w) and a laptop (max draw ~90w). Both charged without issue. Note: I don't recommend using this at 90w. This item is only rated to 60w so I suspect that prolonged usage at 90w would burn out the internal electronics. But that it worked at 90w re-assures me that it will work perfectly at up to the rated 60w sustained.My USB ammeter only allows me to test up to 30w so also tested the iPad power draw with this installed and without it installed. The difference was minimal (in the error margin for PD deliver for an iPad).Recommended
