These cables have already had some serious abuse (I work in construction) and are holding up very well.Fast charging and high speed data, as claimed. They don't work great at charging a duo laptop, but in a pinch they will get you that extra hour you need for looking at plans or sending a report. I never expected them to even work for the laptop running off a high quality automotive plug in, so I am not "disappointed."I do not think you could be disappointed with these for the price. Barring manufacturer defects, I am willing to bet these would 100% serve your needs.I will probably buy a couple more for back up and other uses.I used it to plug our desktop's external solid state drive (Sandisk 1TB) into my Samsung Tab S6 Lite tablet - the SSD mounted right up as "USB-1" and all files were readable on the Android tablet. Fantastik!!Seems like the cable is a decent thickness. I have used this to power an external display and download data from my cellphone. I have also used this to charge my phone. All worked fine and seemed fast enough. For "normal" power and data tasks, this cable seems fine. I have not tried to use this cable for a full HD drive transfer or to power a laptop. While I cannot comment on the longevity of this cable, as I have only had it for two weeks, I am very impressed by its quality. The 6' version is what I have (it is actually two inches longer than six feet, or 188 cm). It is made out of some very sturdy material, so it works properly despite its length being double of the official USB-C spec. I am using it to connect my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ to my Windows 10 laptop and it works like a charm. It charges the battery of my Note. It transfers data between it and the laptop (in which it appears as an external disk drive, so I can copy files, in either direction, between the Note and the laptop). It also works with the Samsung DeX, so I can use the desktop of my laptop as an external monitor for my Samsung Note, even to the point of watching a movie by running the Android version of VLC on the Note while watching the video on the full screen of the 4k monitor connected to my laptop and listening to the sound (on the laptop audio output), all in real time. (And yes, using the keyboard and the mouse connected to my laptop, too.)Additionally, I can develop Android apps on my laptop and run them natively on my Note. This is only important to Android developers, but if you happen to be one, you will be happy to know it has been working without a glitch. All in all, it does everything I have tried doing with it, and it does it very well.I find this fast charging cable to be very necessary for use with my android device, in my new EV.This cable is pretty good and charges well. Just as describedWorks as expected with a S21 Ultra. Super fast charges.I like a smooth outer surface on my cables, rather than braided. I use this cable to charge my USB-C laptop. I've only been using it for about a month, but so far I'm very happy with it. Quality seems excellent....... if only needed for fast charging the USB 2.0 version is half the price and just as fast!I bought this Amazon Basics 1.8m USB C 3.1 Gen 1 cable thinking it would enable my new 2018 iPad Pro 11" to charge faster than the Apple supplied charger when paired with my Anker 30W USB C PD charger.. And I was right, it charges twice as fast at 6A instead of 3A.But I also purchased an Amazon Basics 2.7m USB C 2.0 cable which is half the price and it turns out can charge just as fast. See attached pic of the test I ran using thre Ampere IOS App. I ran a series of tests with the battery at around 50-60% and both the USB 2.0 and the USB 3.1 charged at 6A using the 30W charger. The charger and cables are supposedly rated at 3A but 30W at 5V =6A which is what the app confirms. If you need fast data transfers then this cable is the better option, but if you only need it for fast charging then save your money and get the USB 2.0 version!Note: Also bare in mind that the new 2018 iPad Pros have a USB C 3.1 Gen 2 port so to fully utilise the speed of the port a Gen 2 cable will be an even better option.Charger I use....https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07GNDRDTQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1I bought this cable primarily for my Mac Mini to connect to my LG monitor. I chose this cable because it was made by a reputable company, the Amazon basic range is usually quite decent and Amazon usually have good customer care in case anything was to go wrong. For the average consumer this cable is perfect, it works just fine, the signal output is clear and works as expected. The cable itself is strong, sturdy and has a good design and build. It is very versatile, you can use it as a charging cable for USB type C enabled devices or use it to connect your computing device to Monitor. You can also connect your usb type c enabled device such as a laptop or iPad pro to a monitor to get picture and audio whilst the device is being charge all through the single cable.Something to Bear in mind is that this cable is only a Gen 1, meaning you'll only get data transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps if you need something faster then you need a Gen 2 cable. Over all at this price point and for what it is, it's a good quality product. Hope this helps.- Can use this cable to connect your laptop or pc which has a type C thunderbolt port to your monitor which accepts displayport over USB type C.- you can also use this cable for data transfer and charging of mobile deviceDetailed testing showed that signals were weak and intermittent and suffered from high packet loss of digital signals. Tested several cables all the same problem. They are not for use in sensitive signal capture situations. They cannot handle digital data transfer well, loosing many packets and this at low speeds of less than 10MB. No way it can handle GB transfers. Suspect the cables inside are too thin and insufficiently shielded, emitting a lot of high frequency noise.Having recently got a battery pack and a plug charger that have USB C outlets I realised that I should look around for a decent USB C - C cable. Looking around a number of them did not claim to be USB 3 (or were not). Of the USB 3 ones this didn't look bad value. The cable seems to be pretty sturdy. These days I tend to look for braided cables however this does seem to be a fairly substantial cable. So far it has consistently delivered Quick Charge to my Samsung phone which is exactly what I wanted. My only quibble is that I would have preferred the shorter cable but that was out of stock - this is rather looong! I'll update this review if there are any issues in ongoing use.
