The cable is clearly well made and uses materials that you're not seeing on cables that are double or triple the cost. These expensive cables are all made the same way: regular USB cables, connected to an oversized DIN plug, wrapped in a plastic mesh that creates the artificial curl at the end. There is no flexibility and the plastic mesh feels cheap, like a cop out. The TypeStyle is much different. A high quality cable, connected to a high quality (and appropriately sized) connector by Wiepu connector that is subtle but very nice to look at. The material that the cable is housed in is actually fabric, which feels much nicer than cheap plastic mesh found everywhere. There is some give in the coil and it is slow to retract. The result is that there was clearly a lot of thought put into this cable and yet I'm amazed at the price. A steal at twice the price!
