Comparison between ROG Ally units configured with dual fans and with a single fan. When running games at the same power consumption for the same period on both systems, the dual-fan system shows lower surface temperatures and noise level, while the single-fan system has both higher temperatures and noise level. Higher volume is anticipated in Turbo Mode than in Performance Mode. Please note the thermal performance, fan speed, and noise level may differ when in different operating modes.
An OLED display occurs burn-in damage if a static image is displayed for a prolonged period of time. When your ROG laptop is idle for over 5 minutes, the Microsoft Windows screen saver feature kicks in. The screen saver can move displayed pixels slightly to avoid consistently showing static images on your desktop. This significantly reduces the chance of burn-in and protects the display from visible color shifts over time. To prevent permanent burn-in damage to your OLED display, we strongly suggest that you always leave the feature enabled and avoid leaving your laptop idle for over 30 minutes.
