I originally bought the regular beige shade. Unfortunately that package arrived with water damage. Amazon gave me a refund, and I repurchased this item with the deep beige shade which had more texture. I do like the deep beige a lot better, though I guess that's a matter of taste.As others have said, the bulb is not fully dimmable in that it goes down to certain level, then turns off. I did want to dim it further, so I switched out the bulb to another dimmable led that I had on hand, and voila, it becomes fully dimmable. If you do this be absolutely sure to use an appropriate led bulb that will not get too hot.The lamp, with its plugs and charging ports, is attractive and convenient. It's perfect for what I needed.One has to be very careful opening the packaging. The cellophane wrapper is what holds everything together. I discovered that if I didn't make several cuts in the wrapper it wouldn't budge while opening. Oncethe cuts are there, everything comes apart easily, but one has to be very careful not to damage the shade while cutting the wrapper. It sets up nicely. The USB outlets don't charge things fast, so I don't use them. The on-off switch could be better thought out and it doesn't dim enough.Lampara sencilla, muy útil para su propósito.
