I needed a second monitor for my 27” iMac and this is exactly what I needed. The portrait mode allows me to put Photoshop Menus on that screen giving me more editing room on the Mac screen. The quality and brightness do not match he Mac screen, but the LG is perfect for what I need it to do.Thunderbolt to HDMI cable works perfectly well.This is not the first LG computer monitor I have used, but I have always used them as cost effective add on for my main purpose.Check to make sure this monitor is capable for what your intended use is. For me, office/productivity/text applications on his screen, and the iMac for creative projects.
