When only one USB-A port is used, the data transfer speed can reach up to 10Gbps. When more than 2 USB-A ports are used at the same time, they will share the 10Gbps bandwidth and the data transfer speed will be lower than 10Gbps. Can I access 4 large capacity hard drives at the same time? This hub does not have an external power supply, so we recommend that no more than two hard drives are connected at the same time, with a total capacity of no more than 4TB.

i have this chained w another type-c hub and it works just fine, no complaints. it's even light enough to velcro to the underside of my desk and it stays out of sight. the ports all work on the item i received and they are securely plugged. basic hub w no caveats.
