I installed this on the end of our kitchen island, it works perfectly and best part is you have the old style USB and the new USB-C, not to mention the 2 regular outlets.My only complaint about the Maxxima 4.8A USB Type-C/A High Speed Dual USB Outlet Charger 15 Amp Duplex Receptacle, is that I need to put one on every outlet in my house now. I love it. I love not having to look for a USB brick or find a close enough outlet. i recommend the use of this product to anybody. Installation was easy and simple. If you can hook up jumper cables you can put in a new outlet.Doesn’t charge some things but charges my phone so I’m ok with thatMy grandkids are constantly asking for adapters to charge their devices. They lose them and usually are looking to plug them for a charge.I installed two of these wall plugs with USB ports to solve the problem! Great value and worth the cost!I replaced older version of Maxima outlet with this one .I had it running for the last 3 months and so far no problems it charges everything i throw at it.I install this next to my night stand and don’t have to worry about finding an adapter to charge my phone.Doesn’t work with oem ipad pro usb-c cableUSB-C will not charge many smarter / higher current devices like an Android Pixel or a MacBook Pro. The USB-A outlet seems to work fine and the other sockets show a grounded service so the issue is definitely with the outlet and not the wiring.
